The season of autumn slush is approaching, which means that the floors in our homes will receive an additional load in the form of heavy and dirtier shoes. This, in particular, can cause scratches on wooden surfaces that cannot be easily removed during the next cleaning.

A life hack on how to effectively deal with this problem was unexpectedly found on TikTok. All you need is a clean tennis ball.

The ball's heavy weight and thick felt surface make it easy to care for the wood. The combination of these factors allows you to remove stains and even shallow scratches from solid wood.

Scratches, which usually occur because shoes drag on the floor, can be difficult to remove using conventional methods. Mopping the floors or using cleaning products doesn't always work. And now you are forced to look at ugly black shoe marks.

Everything can change in just a minute if you have a tennis ball. However, make sure you use a clean object, not one that the dog has used before. Simply rub the ball over the mark, pressing down on it to wipe the unsightly stain off the floor. Very quickly, the dirt will be on the surface of the sporting object and all you need to do is rinse it thoroughly under running water.

This method should be safe for all types of hard flooring. But, as always, test it on a small area before you start cleaning the whole thing.

Would you like to polish your floor to a high shine in addition to cleaning? In this case, pour a little warm water into a bucket, squeeze one lemon, and add a few drops of olive oil. Mix everything thoroughly and wash the floor with this mixture. It can also be used to deal with stubborn dirt. Just wet a sponge with it and rub the stain properly.
