Decorative cosmetics that have a creamy or gel texture can occasionally give their owners an extremely unpleasant surprise. Such products tend to dry out rather quickly. And now you have a relatively new jar in your cosmetic bag, which is in good shape with its expiration date and is almost full, but you can't use its contents anymore.

Does this mean that you have to say goodbye to the product? Actually, no. Try to save it before you do. This advice has gone viral on TikTok.

How to restore dried cosmetics: a simple life hack

A blogger with the nickname @nevaehh._05 showed what can be done in this case using eyebrow fondant. She put a tightly closed jar of the product in a pot of water, brought it to a slow boil and kept it in boiling water for 4 minutes. When the product cooled down, it was plastic and usable again.

However, this is not the only life hack that will help restore dried cosmetics. In the comments, the blogger's subscribers shared a method that doesn't require boiling. You can add a drop of baby oil to a product that has lost its properties. It will dissolve it and make it usable again. Instead of oil, you can use a small amount of micellar water.
