Flight attendants explain how to choose an airplane seat away from children
When boarding an airplane, many people hope to relax during the flight or simply enjoy the view from the window. However, these desires can be dashed if there is a screaming child nearby. Thus, flight attendants have named secret places to avoid for those who want to fly in comfort.
Experienced flight attendants Annie Kingston and Rebecca Love listed three areas where parents with small children are most often located. They shared their advice for airline passengers in Oyster and Mirror.

Kingston says that the lowest probability of being next to an infant on an airplane is the bulkhead, which is the safest place for a car seat.
"These partitions, which go by the technical name "bulkheads," are the only places on an aircraft where a parent can safely secure a baby’s bassinet — and are, therefore, where most children under one year old will be situated," Kingston said.
Her colleague named two other places that are usually given to children. According to Love, these are window seats and those close to toilet.
The first is due to the fact that parents hope to distract their child and switch them to the fabulous view from the window. And the second is because of the frequent need for hygiene procedures.
Children are usually seated in three areas.
