On the evening of October 3, explosions occurred in Kurchatov, Kursk Oblast, Russia. Russians complained about an "attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces," and propagandists have already put forward a version of an "attempt to strike the Kursk nuclear power plant."

Local publics shared pictures and videos of smoke in Kurchatov. According to some hostile Telegram channels, the "cotton" allegedly occurred 5 km from the nuclear power plant.

Russian so-called media have not yet agreed among themselves on what exactly happened.

One propaganda outlet claimed that Russian air defense systems allegedly "hit a French bomb" and it fell, causing a fire. The nuclear power plant itself and its infrastructure were not damaged.

Another Telegram channel of the aggressor country wrote about "four missiles" that were allegedly shot down. And one of the popular "military commentators" reported "shelling from HIMARS" and strikes.

Some Russians also wrote about drones and even about the Palyanytsia missile drone.

Warning, the video contains foul language!

Telegram channels are confused about the versions of the incident:

The press service of the Kursk NPP reported around 17:40 that the facility is operating normally and the radiation background was normal.
