Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will reunite for a new Netflix thriller. What is known about the movie "RIP"

Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband, actor Ben Affleck, and his childhood friend Matt Damon will star together in the Netflix crime thriller "RIP". The film will be produced by Artists Equity, a studio the two actors founded in November 2022.

They previously starred together in the films "Dogma" (1999), "Good Will Hunting" (1997), "The Last Duel" (2021), and "Air Jordan" (2023), so this new collaboration is a reunion of the actors in a joint work, which will be their fifth. Netflix, the streaming service involved in the production, has not yet announced even an approximate release date.

"RIP" will be directed by Joe Carnahan, who has worked on such films as "Smokin' Aces", "Death Wish", "Bad Boys", and "Copshop". Almost nothing is known about the plot of the upcoming film, except that it is a crime thriller. Accordingly, there is no trailer yet.

"All information about the plot of RIP is currently classified," Netflix said. Even the year of the movie's release is unknown.

It is known that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck met in high school. They were neighbors in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. Their friendship began after Affleck stood up for his future friend during a fight in front of the school.

"I remember it was a defining moment. He put himself in a very bad position. He's a good friend," Damon admitted in an interview with TV host Conan O'Brien in 2019.
