Angelina Jolie surprised fashion critics with her choice of trench coat

Actress Angelina Jolie is rightfully considered the queen of trench coats. The star adores this type of outerwear and, just as importantly, knows how to wear it.

This time, the American Vogue journalists spotted the star in an unusual cut trench coat. For her outing at the Venice Film Festival, Jolie chose a double-breasted model below the knee with wide cropped sleeves. And when we say cropped, we don't mean the usual 3/4 or 7/8 length. The actress chose a bold version with sleeves that end above the elbow.

Since this trench coat itself plays the main role in the look, Jolie chose simple models for the rest of her clothes. The star chose a simple white T-shirt and cropped navy blue trousers with spacious legs. Everything is exclusively in basic colors, which always complement each other.

Although the actress usually prefers shoes in the form of a pair of classic flesh-colored Christian Louboutin pumps, this time she complemented her ensemble with black leather knee-high Mulberry boots. And surprisingly, such a heavy pair did not overwhelm her lightweight look.

Fashion critics praised the star's choice. According to experts, Jolie showed that a trench coat doesn't have to be a cool-weather garment. A properly selected model may well become a great choice even for a hot summer.
