Russia has rewritten 50 years of history: new textbooks devote many pages to Ukraine

Maryna LisnychukLife
The Russian Federation has rewritten 50 years of history by publishing a textbook for high school students

The aggressor country Russia has rewritten a history textbook for 10th and 11th grade students, which will be the only one used in the educational process from September 1, 2023. On its pages, schoolchildren are told that Ukraine, against which their country is waging war, is an allegedly ultra-nationalist state.

One of the authors of this writing was Vladimir Medinsky, an aide to the Kremlin dictator. The information was made public by propaganda media resources (to view photos containing Russian propaganda, scroll to the end of the news).

According to the author, the new textbook "radically rewrote the sections" concerning the events of the last fifty years. It also describes the Russians' annexation of Crimea and the attack on Ukraine, which the Kremlin calls a "special military operation."

On the pages of the textbook published by the Russian media, one can see the thesis that Western countries allegedly "sponsored Russophobia in the former Soviet republics" and "dragged Russia into conflicts."

In addition, Russian schoolchildren will be persuaded that several generations of Ukrainians have been brought up in total dislike of Russia "on neo-Nazi ideas". Ukraine itself is called an "ultra-nationalist state".

The authors of the textbook also tell the new Russian generation that Russia invaded Ukraine merely to "protect Donbas and ensure its security," and the residents of the occupied Ukrainian territories "wanted to remain Russians."

On the pages of the textbook, schoolchildren complained that Russians were allegedly forced to fight "ideologically pumped up, equipped with NATO weapons and trained to its standards" - the Armed Forces of Ukraine - while "completely illegal sanctions" were being imposed against them.

At the same time, the authors published photos and brief biographies about the so-called first "heroes" of the Russian "SWO", devoted separate paragraphs to "US pressure on Russia" and "falsification of history" allegedly on the part of Western states rather than the Russian Federation itself, and attached captured Ukrainian cities to "their landmarks".

And, of course, on almost every page of a textbook with rewritten history, dictator Putin is "painted" - in a photo or in quotes.

Recall: analysts at the Institute for the Study of War emphasized that the Kremlin continues to express its cynical aspirations to continue significant military operations against the Ukrainian state. So they explained the vague and contradictory statement of the speaker of the Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov that Russia wants "full control" of the occupied territories of Ukraine.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, the terrorist state Russia decided to teach children how to control drones. The Russian state Duma said that the lessons will include conducting reconnaissance of the area and ways to "counteract the enemy's UAVs."
