Pancakes that always turn out puffy: what must be added to the batter
Pancakes are the perfect dish for a quick and hearty breakfast, which can be made with water, milk or kefir. To make them puffy, be sure to add baking soda or baking powder to the dough and let them stand for 10 minutes without stirring.
Culinarian Victoria shared on Instagram a recipe for puffy pancakes that will turn out very light and delicious.
Ingredients:
- kefir - 500 ml
- sugar - 60 g
- flour - 350-380 grams
- eggs - 1 pc
- baking soda - 6 g
- salt - pinch
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Mix the kefir with the egg, sugar and salt. Add the flour and baking soda and knead to make sure there are no lumps. The dough should be quite thick. Do not stir the ready dough, let it stand for 10 minutes.
2. Heat a frying pan with oil, spoon out the batter and fry the pancakes.
3. Place the finished pancakes on a paper towel so they are not greasy.
Serve pancakes with jam, sour cream, condensed milk, or honey.
