They look 20 at 50: five secrets of "eternal youth" of Korean women that everyone should follow

Secrets of "eternal youth" of Korean women

Some time ago, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife Kim Keon-hee arrived in Ukraine on a working visit, and she impressed Ukrainians with her appearance. In a few months, the first lady will turn 51, but no one will give her more than 20! Many Ukrainian women in the comments under the photos of the Korean woman wondered how it was possible to look 30 years younger than her real age.

OBOZREVATEL decided to share some important secrets of Korean women's "eternal youth". As you know, plastic surgery is highly developed in their country, and many women (and men, too) travel to South Korea to correct their appearance. However, it is not only about "beauty injections" and the skill of a plastic surgeon. Korean women care for their skin vigorously. No wonder the European market is filled with their cosmetics, creams, and masks.

Sun protection

Unfortunately, the culture of sun protection is not yet so widespread among Ukrainian women. And this is not only one of the most important parameters of preventing aging but also the best measure to prevent skin cancer. In just 15 minutes of exposure, sunlight leads to the death of almost 90% of antioxidants, substances that fight free radicals and thus prevent aging. As a result, the skin dries, thins, and becomes flabby, and deep wrinkles and age spots appear on the face and neck.

In Korea, girls have been aware of the importance of using SPF products since childhood. In addition to classic creams, they use SPF cushions (a foundation with sun protection) and sunscreen sticks. They monitor the UV index on the street and never leave home without sun protection even in the cold season.

Thoroughly moisturize the skin

Do you achieve a glowing skin effect with highlighter? Korean women simply moisturize their skin deeply to make it glow even without makeup. They do this most often in several stages: toner, serum, and cream. It is recommended to use products that attract water molecules and retain them in the skin. Look for ceramides, hyaluronic acid, aloe, snail mucin, glycerin, and squalane in cosmetics.

Be sure to moisturize the skin after peeling because otherwise it loses moisture quickly, and after clay masks as they also take away moisture. Korean women have a secret: they apply moisturizer immediately after washing their face when it is not completely dry.

Say goodbye to low-quality cotton pads

We're not going to say it, but let's assume that you don't pay attention to such a seemingly insignificant nuance as cotton pads. You don't think about their quality and the impact on your skin. But Korean women think and choose only those cotton pads that are particularly smooth so that the lint does not get knocked out and does not stick to the skin. A low-quality product with a rough, coarse surface can seriously harm your skin if used daily, especially dry skin. Also, pay attention to how you remove makeup: do it gently, don't press the pad hard, and don't rub your face.

And the best solution is to buy hydrophilic oil instead of micellar water as it does not require cotton pads at all.

Deep skin cleansing

Since we're talking about makeup removal, let's continue this topic with deep skin cleansing, which is the basis of high-quality and effective skin care for Korean women. First of all, everyone should already know and use this rule, but we'll remind you: under no circumstances can you go to bed with makeup on. The skin also needs to breathe. How to properly prepare your face for sleep? First, use hydrophilic oil or cleansing balm to dissolve dirt and makeup, followed by soft foam or gel. In the morning, use foam or gel only without the first step.

Hygiene

This includes many sub-items, and each of them is extremely important. For example, Korean women follow the following hygiene rules:

  • Do not touch your face with your hands, especially if they are dirty.
  • Disinfect objects that touch the face: phone, eyebrow tweezers, glasses, and so on.
  • Use a separate towel for the face, but do not rub the skin with it, just blot it.
  • Change cloth towels every 2-3 days or use disposable paper towels.
  • Pillowcases should be changed once a week. They accumulate sebum, sweat, particles of keratinized skin, and dirt.
