Swearing at children and others: Russian tourists shocked by Sochi residents
World sanctions, closed skies, rising prices and explosions in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea have made Russian tourists think of domestic resorts, but their vacation there has shocked them. One of the tourists, a teacher from St. Petersburg, complained that the popular city of Sochi had changed beyond recognition.
In particular, he was shocked by the behavior of vacationers and residents of the city. A low standard of living is to blame for roughness and aggression, Russian media writes.
The tourist was "welcomed" already in the cab, where he witnessed a quarrel between the driver and pedestrians. The cab driver yelled at the people and told the passenger that he did not intend to wait for them to cross the road, although he had to let them pass according to traffic rules.
A Russian was unpleasantly surprised by the familiarity and rudeness of locals and tourists, who swear at children and each other in public places. Russians in Sochi address strangers with the words "dude", "lad" and "gal".
"The city has changed for the worse and the prices are crazy. The locals have become poorer, from this irritability and rudeness. I don't travel there. Never, no matter what the weather is. I want to go to the sea, but not there," the vacationer said.
By the way, this is not the first time Russians have complained about vacationing in Sochi. The other day vacationers near the Black Sea coast said that some of their fellow citizens behave inadequately. They let children defecate in the sea, from which other kids then drink water.
As OBOZREVATEL wrote, there was a stir because of the demilitarization of the Russian occupiers in Crimea at the Anapa resort, 300 km from Sochi. To know what is happening on popular beaches, visit the link.
