Spicy custard dumplings with Spanish filling: how to cook an original dish

Dumplings are a delicious homemade dough dish with a variety of fillings. You can prepare dough for them in different ways, but among all the options is the most successful - custard. For the filling you can use: cabbage, vegetables, mushrooms, legumes, berries, cottage cheese, greens, meat, minced meat, fish, by-products.
Cook Inna shared on Instagram a recipe for dumplings on custard dough with Spanish breadcrumb filling with garlic and chickpeas.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- wheat flour - 400 g
- boiling water - 200 g
- vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.
- salt - a pinch
For the filling:
- yesterday's baguette - 1/2 pc.
- garlic - 3 cloves.
- water - 1/4 cup
- smoked paprika - 1/2 tsp.
- canned chickpeas - 3 tbsp.
- salt, pepper - to taste
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Dough: pour boiling water into the flour in the center, stir, add butter, and knead into an elastic dough.
2. Roll out the dough and cut out circles for dumplings.
3. Stuffing: tear the baguette into small pieces, pour water on it and leave it for a few minutes to soak in the water.

4. In a pan with oil, fry finely chopped garlic, add chickpeas, fry a couple of minutes and add crumbs, fry until golden, salt, pepper and remove from heat.
5. Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each pastry circle and pinch.
6. Bring water to a boil, add salt and simmer for about 4-5 minutes.
