Representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Legion "Freedom of Russia" are still in the Belgorod region - DIU

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has reported that Russian volunteers who conducted an operation in the Belgorod region of the Russian aggressor state are still in the area. Their goal is to liberate the region and then the whole of Russia from the regime of the bunker dictator Putin.

This was stated by a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, on the air of the Suspilne channel on Friday, May 26. He is referring to representatives of the resistance movement from the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion.

"Their task is to liberate these lands from Putin's regime, which is a regime of internal occupation for the residents of these territories, representatives of different peoples and nationalities," Yusov said.

He noted that for a number of peoples "with a higher level of political consciousness", this is not an internal occupation, but a direct external occupation. This applies, for example, to the peoples of the Caucasus or Tatarstan.

At the same time, the DIU representative said that in the future, the scope and territories covered by the operation of Russian volunteers may change. In addition, even the names of the lands and their statuses may change.

"The territory called 'Russian Federation' includes historically different lands that were called differently at different stages. Today it has this name, we'll see," Yusov concluded.

It should be noted that a few days ago, Russian volunteers claimed to have conducted a military operation in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation and left with minimal losses. They held control of several villages for 24 hours. They also have trophies, and their own equipment was not lost: what the Kremlin's propaganda showed was actually bought by the occupiers on the black market.
