Another Russian occupier involved in war crimes will be tried in Ukraine. A serviceman of the terrorist country is involved in the murder and imitation of the death penalty of civilians in the Kyiv region.
This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. The offender faces up to fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment.
"The investigation established that in March 2022, during the occupation of Havronshchyna village in the Kyiv region, the deputy commander of a combat vehicle of the Russian Armed Forces stopped a local unarmed civilian on the street who posed no threat to him. Threatening the man with a weapon, he forced him to lie down on the ground and extracted information about his affiliation with the AFU and other military or civilian formations. After the beating, he put the victim against the wall and killed him with a shot to the head from an automatic weapon," the prosecutor's office said.
In addition, the occupier, while intoxicated, entered the house with his colleagues and ordered four citizens to come to one room. There, the perpetrator interrogated them at gunpoint. Then he ordered them to stand in a line one by one, arguing that he did not want to waste extra ammunition on killing them.
"After that, imitating the execution of unarmed civilians, he shot at the ceiling and left the house, promising to come back the next day and shoot everyone," the press service said.
The lieutenant and other Russian servicemen also entered the woman's house and stole her car at gunpoint. A week later, they repeated a similar crime, taking the car from a local resident. The investigation into the war crimes is over.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, four more Russian servicemen involved in war crimes will be tried in Ukraine. The occupiers tortured civilians in Bucha, Kyiv region, and mimicked their execution.
