What to do if spathiphyllum wilts and dries

Spathiphyllum, also called "female happiness," is a popular houseplant that is valued for its beautiful flowers and low maintenance. However, sometimes the owners of this plant notice that the leaves have become dried up and drooping.

This is certainly a cause for concern for indoor plant lovers, but it's not as bad as it might seem at first glance. Express has shared an effective method that will help revitalize your spathiphyllum in less than 10 minutes.

As the owner of this plant, you probably know that spathiphyllum loves moist soil, so it needs to be watered regularly. However, sometimes this is not enough.

A very common reason for the "woman's happiness" to wither is that it simply lacks moisture, so to quickly and effectively restore the plant, you should do the following.

  1. Put a small amount of water in a sink, bathtub, or basin;
  2. Put the pot of wilted spathiphyllum in the water for no more than 10 minutes;
  3. Remove and allow excess moisture to drain away to prevent root rot.

Your plant will certainly look better after this procedure. If the air in your home is rather dry, you should water your spathiphyllum more often, or soak it in water 2-3 times a week.

Also, if you don't want to put the pot in water, you can try watering the plant abundantly from above until the water starts to flow out of the drainage holes, and then let the excess liquid drain away. This should also improve the state of your "female happiness".
