How to fold towels correctly: a simple and aesthetic method

Beautifully folded towels can even serve as an element of room decor

Beautifully folded towels add a sense of coziness. But how can you achieve the polished look seen in interior magazines or high-end home textile stores? In reality, the method is quite simple and doesn't require any additional skills.

OBOZREVATEL shares a straightforward method that will appeal even to those who have monogrammed towels they want to keep visible.

Step one: spread out the towel

To neatly roll up a towel, start by laying it flat on a clean surface. Ensure that the front side (the one with monograms or other decor) is facing down. Gently straighten the item.

Step two: fold it three times

Begin the first fold lengthwise, as this adds beautiful volume. First, fold one half towards the center, then fold the other half, ensuring its edge slightly covers the opposite edge of the towel by about 2 cm. However, this rule can be flexible if the monogram or other decor you want to keep visible on the front side takes up a significant width. In such cases, you can partially bend the edges.

Step three: fold in half twice

Next, fold the resulting long object in half crosswise, and then fold it in half again. Ensure that the monogram or pattern remains on top. The result should be a perfectly folded towel. You can arrange them in elegant piles or pyramids, especially if you have sets of the same style in different sizes, or conveniently store them in a closet.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL told you how often to wash towels to keep them as hygienic as possible.
