Anyone who has ever wiped dust in their home dreams of keeping it from settling on furniture and surfaces for at least some time. Carolina McCauley, an Australian blogger who shares her home care tips with her 2.4 million followers, has demonstrated a home remedy that can make this dream come true.

On her Instagram, she shared a recipe for a spray that will remove dust, slow down its settling, and at the same time kill harmful dust mites that live in it. To prepare the product, you will need:

  • half a tablespoon of olive oil;
  • a tablespoon of vinegar;
  • half a glass of water;
  • 10 drops of dishwashing liquid;
  • lemon essential oil.

Pour oil into a spray bottle. This component will repel dust from surfaces.

Next, add vinegar. Its task is to fight dust mites. Next, pour water into the bottle.

Finally, add dishwashing liquid and a few drops of lemon essential oil to flavor the product. Close the bottle and shake it well so that all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.

The blogger recommends applying this spray to a microfiber cloth that will not leave lint behind. The surfaces should be wiped once a week. It will not damage varnished and painted surfaces.
