Traditional Christmas kutia is always made with plain water with honey or a compote. It all depends on your taste preferences. Some people just boil porridge and mix it with honey, and it turns out to be thick. But a very unusual and really tasty kutia is made with cream.
The idea of cooking original kutia in cream was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Marharyta Horobets (rita_gorobets). You also need to add a lot of different dried fruits and nuts.

9. Put the required amount of porridge in a bowl. Add half of all dried fruits, a third of poppy seeds, and 2-3 tablespoons of honey. Pour 250 ml of water and 250 ml of cream. Mix gently.
10. Then, add more dried fruits, water, cream, and honey to your taste.
11. Cranberries add sourness, so be careful with their quantity (and do not soak them together with other dried fruits). Salt is slightly tangible in the porridge. If you want, cook without salt. But this combination of different flavors makes this kutia balanced and varied.

12. It is better to mix all the ingredients a few hours before serving so that the kutia can infuse.
13. If the kutia has absorbed all the liquid overnight, just add a new portion of cold boiled water and cream.
