How to cook delicious oatmeal for breakfast: add only one ingredient
Oatmeal is a breakfast dish that is, firstly, healthy, and secondly, very simple and quick to prepare. It can be cooked with water and milk, and berries, spices, eggs, and vegetables can be added.
Chef Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for delicious oatmeal with butter and caramelized pear on his website.
Ingredients:
- oatmeal – 100-150 g
- water – 300 ml
- sugar – to taste
- milk – 300 ml
- walnuts – 30 gr
- butter –20 g
- ground cardamom – 2 pinches
- honey – 2 tbsp
- pear – 1 pc.
Method of preparation:
1. Caramelize the pear: wash it and cut it into small pieces or slices.
2. Heat a frying pan, add sugar, and wait until it melts and turns golden. Put the pear slices in the pan, and fry for no more than 1 minute, stirring constantly over medium heat to caramelize each piece.
3. Pour oatmeal into a saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Then add milk, cardamom, sugar and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Remove the porridge from the heat, add the butter, and let it stand for 1-2 minutes.
5. Add nuts and pear to the porridge before serving.
