The most popular vegetable is potatoes, which can be mashed and fried with onions and mushrooms. However, it can also used to make dough, pies, salads, as well as zrazy and dumplings. Thus, it is very important to know how each variety is very different from each other and why not all of them are suitable for boiling or soups, for example. Here are a few simple rules when cooking this vegetable, including the use of baking soda.

Cook Victoria (cook_with_me_at_home ) shared a recipe for baked potatoes with spices, which must first be boiled with baking soda so that they keep their shape on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • potatoes - 1-1.5 kg
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp.
  • oil - 5-6 tbsp
  • rosemary - a few sprigs
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves.
  • salt, pepper; others to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Wash, peel and cut potatoes into large pieces.

2. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, add baking soda, put the potatoes and cook for only 7-10 minutes.

3. Combine oil with squeezed garlic, rosemary and spices and mix well.
