What to replace a pastry bag with: ideas
Pastry bags are often used to decorate various pastries and desserts. And if you don't have it at hand at the right time or simply don't have it at all, it's not a problem. You can make such a bag yourself from improvised items.
The FoodOboz editorial team has gathered information for you and will tell you what to make a pastry bag from.
What to make a pastry bag from
Method 1: parchment
This method is, by the way, the most popular as it was used by our grandmothers. To make a pastry bag from parchment, you need to cut a triangle out of thick paper and give it a conical shape with a hole at the end.
Method 2: plastic bag
To use this method, pour the cream or batter directly into the bag. Tie the hole in the bag with a rubber band or thread. On the other side of the bag, where there is a triangular corner, make a small incision. This is where the mass will be squeezed out.
Method 3: fabric
This method is suitable if you want to make a pastry bag for more than one use. To do this, you need to pick up a thick and preferably plain fabric and cut out two identical triangles from it. They need to be folded together and stitched on both sides with a sewing machine or by hand. The hole through which you will squeeze out the cream or batter does not need to be touched.
