Every housewife has a lot of dishes for different dishes in her kitchen. However, it is very important to know how to use the dishes correctly and wash them properly so as not to damage them and make them unsafe, for example, like Teflon.

A group of scientists from Flinders and Newcastle Universities in Australia have found out how many microscopic particles penetrate from cracks in Teflon cookware into food and how the food you cook in them can affect your health. The information was published in Science Alert.

Scientists have found that even the tiniest plastic particles in pans and pots with damaged coatings can penetrate into cooked foods and make them dangerous. Experts strongly recommend not to cook in such dishes, it is better to get rid of them.

In the course of the research, experts cut Teflon-coated cookware into small pieces and simulated the cooking process, and they also tried to wash the cookware using different materials – wool, plastic, stainless steel, wood.

The most important thing that scientists have found during the experiment is that when cooking on a damaged coating, more than 2 million tiny plastic particles can get into the food and in just 30 seconds they can turn healthy food into very dangerous food.

Scientists urge everyone to be very careful when choosing cookware, and not to use damaged pans and pots with Teflon coating.
