Classic burger with a crispy homemade bun: how to make the ferment correctly
There is a real culture of cooking and eating burgers in the world. This dish can be eaten as fast food, or it can be turned into a real work of gastronomic art.
The recipe for a restaurant burger was shared on Instagram by a food blogger named kelbas_v. She explained how to make a delicious burger without any fancy tricks and the right bun for it.
Ingredients for ferment for 4 buns
Milk - 125 grams
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Dry yeast - 1 tbsp.
Ingredients for the dough
- Egg - 1 pc
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Butter - 25 grams
- Flour - 300-350 g
Method of preparation
1. Add sugar and yeast to warm milk. Stir and leave for 10 minutes.
2. Beat the egg a little with salt and add melted, but not hot, butter. Beat.
3. Add the ferment, sift the flour and knead the dough. It should be very soft and slightly sticky.
4. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for an hour.
5. Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal parts.
6. Form balls from each part, cover with a towel and leave for 10-15 minutes.
7. Brush the buns with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
8. Cover the buns with a towel and let them cool completely.
9. Now proceed to assemble the burger. Cut the buns in half and fry in a dry frying pan.
10. For the sauce, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in equal proportions.
11. Form 4 patties from 500 g of minced meat and bake for 15 minutes at 200 degrees.
12. Put lettuce, cutlet, cheese, cucumber, and fried egg on the bottom of the bun. Cover with the second half of the bun and secure the structure with a skewer.
