"Cherry Tenderness" cake made of fluffy sponge cakes and delicate cream: tastier than the popular "Prague" cake

Chocolate sponge cake is the basis of the popular "Prague" cake. They are perfectly complemented by two layers of cream and jam on the sides. However, in the "Cherry Tenderness" dessert, the berries are added whole – for many people, this will be more delicious.

The idea for the Cherry Tenderness cake was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olena Romanova (olena_romanova_). The cakes should be soaked in cherry juice.

Ingredients:

  • eggs – 5 pcs.
  • sugar – 200 g
  • flour – 150 g
  • cocoa – 50 g
  • cherry juice for soaking – 250 g
  • cherry filling – 400-500 g

Ingredients for the cream:

  • cream cheese – 600 g
  • cream of 30% fat content – 200 g
  • powdered sugar – 200 g
  • a pinch of vanilla

Method of preparation:

1. Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy and creamy.

2. Add the sifted flour and cocoa (do not beat). It is better to do this manually so that the mass does not settle.

3. Pour the batter into the split mold.

4. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

5. Cut the sponge cake into 3 pieces. It is better to do this with a hacksaw knife or a thread.

6. Put the first piece of sponge cake on the substrate.

7. Drizzle with cherry juice.

8. You can add cherry liqueur to the juice if desired.

9. Put 200 g of cherry preserves, over the cream.

10. Repeat the same with the second cake.

11. Soak the third cake with juice and decorate it with cream through the nozzle. Grease the sides of the cake well with cream.

12. Garnish the sides with cake crumbs, almond chips, or cornflakes.

13. Leave the cake in the refrigerator for 3-5 hours.
