Where is Viktor Andrienko, who gave Ukrainians the "Weevil Show" and worked in Russia, today?

Victor Andrienko turns 65 years old

Today, on 19 September, actor and director Viktor Andrienko, who presented his compatriots with the humorous TV program The Weevil Show, turned 65. The Honored Artist of Ukraine was born in Zaporizhzhia, where he began his career.

Before the war broke out in 2014, the celebrity often worked in Russia, but after the aggressor country's terrorist actions, he returned home. The star admitted that two years ago his life and views changed dramatically. Although the actor had many opportunities to travel abroad, he remains in Ukraine. The celebrity spoke about this in his interview for the project Alone.

"I always planned everything. But on February 24, when I was supposed to distribute the book "Legends of the Magic Forest" in Braille to blind and visually impaired children in Kharkiv and give them my copy of the legends, it did not happen," the cultural figure said.

Viktor Andrienko realized from his own experience that people are where they should be. This was the main reason why he stayed in his homeland.

"I had a lot of offers from close friends to go to the Czech Republic, America, Berlin, Australia. But I refused. Why? You have to be here. It seems to me that it was necessary," the director said.

The artist admits that a voice inside him made him choose this particular way and stay in Ukraine.

Viktor Andrienko's creative career began in his native Zaporizhzhia. There he worked as a senior stage setter at the regional music and drama theater, after which he decided to get a professional education. In 1980, he graduated from the Ivan Karpenko-Kary Kyiv Theater Institute.
