Crimean Tatar singer Jamala, who won the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, admitted that she would like to see Tina Karol represent Ukraine at the song contest again. She believes that the artist would be able to perform well on the international stage.

However, Jamala refused to participate in the show again. She told Lux FM that she has "a slightly different story," but Tina Karol has every chance of winning a prize.

"I think Tina Karol had to leave. I mean, really. I think she would have been a very good representative. There have been cases when artists have gone to Eurovision several times," Jamala said.

However, Jamala refuses to represent Ukraine at the international contest again, although in 2016 she managed to win with her song "1944". She says she has a "slightly different story" and it is more difficult now.

Tina Karol has already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Greece with her song Show me your love. Back then, the artist took 7th place.

In May this year, the singer admitted that she would not mind going to the contest. "I would like to go. It's a great drive, tone and I know I can do it. I know I'm different. And when I went to Eurovision, it wasn't really my idea. I had producers and no one ever asked me, but I actually have a very difficult behind-the-scenes fate performing at Eurovision," she said at the time.

It's worth noting that singer Fiinka, who made it to the final of the National Selection for Eurovision 2023, also said that she would like to see Tina Karol represent Ukraine at this year's show.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that Tina Karol became the music producer of the National Selection for Eurovision 2025.
