The star of 'She's The Man' and 'Easy A' was placed in a psychiatric ward after roaming the streets naked

Amanda Bynes was placed in a psychiatric ward after roaming the streets naked

Popular American actress Amanda Bynes, whose career ended in 2012 due to a number of scandalous antics and problems with the law, was admitted to a psychiatric ward. This happened after the girl walked around the streets of Los Angeles completely naked.

Bynes suffers from bipolar disorder. The actress' former boyfriend told Page Six in a commentary that shortly before the incident, the celebrity had refused to take the necessary medication.

According to eyewitnesses, Amanda, 36, flagged down a car without any clothes on her person and told the driver she was coming down from a psychiatric episode. The actress then called 911 herself - emergency services took her to a nearby police station, and from there, Bynes was admitted to a psychiatric ward.

The medics said the star would remain under their care for at least 72 hours.

It's worth noting that less than a year ago, a court released the actress from an eight-year conservatorship. Since 2022, Bynes has been living in a community for women, where she must lead an "independent" lifestyle and meet regularly with her manager.

Amanda Bynes is one of those stars ruined by early fame. She first shone on screens at the age of 13, when she became the host of "The Amanda Show". Later, the girl starred in popular films such as "She's The Man", "What a Girl Wants", "Easy A", "Love Wrecked", "Sydney White" and many others.

In 2012, the celebrity was accused of three traffic accidents and given three years of probation. And in 2018, Amanda was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Several courses of treatment gave short-term results. The actress even tried to start earning money again, but now not in the film industry, but in the beauty industry - she enrolled in cosmetology school and became a manicurist. Unfortunately, the mental health of the star still remains unstable.

Earlier, OBOZREVATEL told about other stars who were affected by bipolar disorder. Among them Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Mel Gibson and others. Read more in our story.
