The actress notes that the comedian tried to force her to appear nude, despite a special provision prohibiting nudity in the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby. Later, the star said that after mentioning Baron Cohen in her memoirs, he even threatened her, and she published an angry post on social media: "I will not be intimidated or silenced by precious lawyers or PR managers. Baron Cohen himself noted that the very nude scene he asked Wilson for was allegedly agreed upon in the script.

The couple announced the divorce in an Instagram story. "After a long tennis match that lasted more than 20 years, we are finally putting down our rackets. In 2023, we filed for divorce together. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working towards this change. We have always shared our devotion and love for our children. We are sincerely grateful that you are respecting our family's desire for privacy," Isla Fisher wrote.

The Hollywood couple broke up in 2023, but until November, they tried to continue posting photos of themselves together so that their fans would not suspect anything. The last published photo on Isla Fisher's page is dated November 17, 2023. It shows the couple having a great time drinking alcohol.

Another reason for the divorce could be the family's move from Australia, Fisher's homeland, to the UK because of the time it took to fly to Hollywood. "The move back to the UK came out of nowhere. Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher met in 2001 at a party in Australia. They got engaged after three years of dating in 2004, when Fisher was 28 and Cohen was 32. For the sake of the "love of her life," Fisher converted to Judaism so that she could get married in 2010. The couple had three children - 17-year-old Olive, 13-year-old Elua, and 9-year-old Montgomery Moses Brian Baron Cohen.
