"I choose life, and you choose death": Dasha Astafieva shared what her collegues who fled abroad write to her

Potap blocked her for criticizing his song

Before the war, blogger Dasha Astafieva had an active career as a singer and actress, but she gave it all up because she believed that "entertainment content is incompatible with what is happening in the country now." The artist spoke about her colleagues who continue to sing about love as they did in peacetime.

In a conversation with OBOZ.UA, the artist recalled Potap, who blocked her because she criticized his song about volunteering. She also spoke about people who have fled abroad and do not hesitate to post about their dissolute lives.

"People I know personally have fled abroad," Astafieva complains, "They say they see part of the interview when I am accusing them. They say they choose life, and I choose war and death." If everyone thought like that, who would defend the country? And would it still exist? The war is won by conscious people who stand up to the end and sacrifice everything. I'm not even talking about the fact that those fugitives don't raise money by having a large audience or donating themselves. Instead, they live in one big party. It's not just annoying, it's very offensive. I can't even imagine how it affects the military and families who lost loved ones because of the war."

''I choose life, and you choose death'': Dasha Astafieva shared what her collegues who fled abroad write to her

"A lot of my colleagues behave inappropriately. They create entertainment content during the war abroad that is incompatible with what is happening in the country," the blogger adds. When asked whether she was talking about Nastia Kamenskykh, who announced on social media that she was starting her career as an international singer, Astafieva replied, "I'm talking about a lot of stars in this context. People want to continue to follow the path they were on before the war: to be recognized, to receive compliments, and to sing songs about love."

Astafieva also recalled her colleague Potap, who "tells people what a great volunteer he is but still has fun with other female 'volunteers'. I think that every person who has lived in a basement for several months just wants to, excuse me, spit in his face."

"By the way, he blocked me for criticizing him," the artist added, "I have said and am saying publicly that even I am uncomfortable with such songs, I don't consider myself a special volunteer. But I stay in the country and do what I can. I could also sing on stage, travel the world and relax in the sun with the considerable money I earned. But, people, now is not the time!"
