On the morning of Friday, October 11, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the Vatican. There he is scheduled to meet with Pope Francis.

The video of the Ukrainian leader's arrival was published by Agence France-Presse. According to the agency, this is Zelenskyy's second private audience in the Vatican after meeting with the Pope in May 2023, although the two leaders also met at the G7 summit in June this year in southern Italy.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, late on Thursday evening, October 10, Zelenskyy arrived in Italy. In Rome, he met with Prime Minister George Maloney, and the topic of the talks was the Ukraine Victory Plan. During a joint press conference, the Ukrainian leader said that Russia ignores real diplomacy and the Formula for Peace proposed by Kyiv. According to him, if the Victory Plan is implemented, Moscow will not be able to continue the war.

Earlier, Zelenskyy said he had presented the Victory Plan during meetings with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Zelenskyy is also scheduled to visit Germany. It was expected that he would present the Victory Plan to all partners at the Ramstein meeting on October 12, but it was postponed due to Hurricane Milton in the United States.

As reported earlier, on October 10, the head of the UGCC, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, met with Pope Francis in the Vatican. He "presented the pain of the Ukrainian people" and "fears on the threshold of winter in the context of shelling of civilian infrastructure." Sviatoslav also called for opposition to the militarization of religion, which, in particular, is observed in the Russian Federation in the context of the war against Ukraine.
