President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has warned the nations of Asia against friendship with the aggressor country of Russia. According to the head of the Ukrainian state, those who resist the compulsion to become part of Russia will face death and war.

Zelensky made the statement during an interview with journalists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on May 24 in a printing house in Kharkiv that was destroyed by a Russian strike. The video of the interview was published on Sunday by the Office of the President of Ukraine.

In particular, Zelensky answered the question of why he invited press representatives from Central Asian countries.

"I think it's important that you get the information, that you see everything with your own eyes, that no one promotes their own narratives, Russian narratives. And I don't want to tell you anything informational, I want you to see it all, to see it for yourself, to travel," he said.

The president added that it is very important for him that "people in Central Asia see the real consequences of the war, what the 'Russian world' brings and what it will definitely try to bring" to their territory.

"I don't want to scare anyone, I think that those who are informed and warned are stronger. And that's why I think that everything they do and say, for example, that we are "friends with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, they are our brothers, etc."- is all a lie. Believe me, this will all happen in a second: first, the occupation of something, especially where there are Russians, where there is something to cling to," Zelensky warned.

According to him, refusing to become part of the "Russian world" will inevitably lead to Moscow's aggression.

"I'm not saying that there should be persecution of certain minorities or communities that exist on the territory of your countries. But everything will end up with the fact that they just need a reason. Then they will occupy a certain area. They will say that we are just calming down, we are just helping, and the end is clear. If your people, you, resist becoming part of Russia, you will inevitably face a full-scale invasion, and, of course, death and war await," the Ukrainian leader said.

Kyiv believes that the Baltic states are primarily under attack: Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia, as Kyiv has already told all its partners. These countries can be used to test NATO's response to an invasion or illegal border crossing, Zelensky said.

"Yesterday and the day before yesterday, I think it already happened, they were moving buoys, there was a crossing of maritime borders. There was no reaction, respectively, because NATO countries are very cautious. And Russia needs to show strength. We are receiving information that the Baltic countries, Moldova, and Kazakhstan are among their priorities - these are the closest targets of the Russian Federation," the President of Ukraine warned.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, in the same interview, Zelensky said that because of Russia's brutal attacks, most Ukrainians have developed a hatred for everything Russian. According to the president, even speaking Russian has become difficult for many.

He also said that Russia was gathering a new group of troops on the border northwest of Kharkiv and preparing an offensive.

In addition, Zelensky named three key topics that will be the main ones at the peace summit in Switzerland: nuclear energy security, food security, and the exchange of "all for all," including Ukrainian children.
