Ukrainian Armed Forces: enemy concentrates over 40 thousand troops in Avdiivka sector

Russia has concentrated more than 40 thousand occupants in the Avdiivka sector. Every day near Avdiivka, the enemy loses hundreds of invaders, but continues to attack with the support of armored vehicles and aircraft.

The Russian command also continues to deploy reserves to the Donetsk region, and the newly arrived commanders are treated worse than animals. Oleksandr Stupun, spokesman for the Joint Press Center of the Tauride Defense Forces, told about the situation in the area of responsibility of the Tauride Operational and Strategic Grouping, which includes Avdiivka and Maryinka, during a telethon.

"About 40 thousand people are currently operating in the Avdiivka sector, even a little more. The enemy is suffering very significant losses: if we count on average, it is about 300-400 people per day. Russian terrorists are not reducing the activity of their infantry. Avdiivka and Maryinka have the highest number of clashes and are the most heated," he noted.

According to Stupun, the infantry of the occupation army is supported by armored vehicles and aviation in the attacks.

"The enemy is currently acting with the support of armored vehicles. Our soldiers are burning it, of course. The enemy also actively used aviation yesterday. They dropped 40 guided aerial bombs yesterday, all of them in Donetsk region," he emphasized.

Significant losses force Russia to pull up reserves in Donetsk region. Newcomers are thrown into attacks despite their low level of training.

"The enemy suffers very significant losses, but continues to bring up reserves - the so-called "Storm Z" and newly mobilized, not very well trained troops. The command's attitude to them is simply like animals. Sometimes they are even left without food and water, and are forced to eat snow. There are a lot of frostbite cases," noted Stupun, adding that the invaders are afraid of their command "more than death", so they meekly go on suicide attacks.

Over the last day, Russians carried out 24 air strikes and made 648 artillery attacks in the Tavriya sector. 56 combat engagements were registered. The invaders came out of them with losses: 20 units of enemy equipment were destroyed, including four tanks and 11 armored vehicles.

"We continue to destroy the enemy's logistics, making it as difficult as possible to supply ammunition, food and fuel and lubricants. Our artillery is working all the time, all firepower is working to reduce the enemy's offensive potential," summarized Stupun.

Earlier, ISW stated that the occupants are conducting massive assaults to capture Avdiivka . At the same time, analysts noted that Russian troops can suffer losses along the entire front in Ukraine at a rate close to the rate at which the aggressor country is currently generating new forces. Most likely, it is even able to continue to compensate for such losses with new recruits as long as dictator Vladimir Putin is willing and able to replenish the internal consequences of the war.
