"Ukraine really wants the war to end": Zelenskyy answers whether a military victory over Russia is possible

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine must defeat Russia on the battlefield. At the same time, the head of state emphasized that a diplomatic solution to the conflict was proposed.

According to him, justice can only come if our country defeats the aggressor. Zelenskyy said this during a press conference in Brussels.

The President noted that Ukraine wants the war to end as soon as possible. However, it must be a fair end to the war. The head of state noted that for this, Ukraine needs weapons to defend itself against the occupation and Russian evil.

At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that in order to prevent the war from dragging on for decades, Ukraine proposed a diplomatic way, namely a peace summit.

"If we want justice, then Ukraine must win. But I want it to be without loud statements. We need to know that people see that Ukraine really wants the war to end as soon as possible but fairly. Therefore, we need weapons to prevent us from being completely destroyed, to prevent us from being occupied, we need to fight back against this evil," the president said.

The president also added that Russia is not fighting against Ukraine alone as it is supported by Iran and North Korea, which supply drones, missiles and artillery shells.

"There are some things that we do not talk about publicly, but we see these supplies, we see them from our intelligence, and we do not speak out about it until we have 100% confirmation about the supplies from a particular state to Russia," Zelenskyy said.

As a reminder, as Ukraine prepares for the June peace summit in Switzerland, where the Ukrainian Peace Formula will be discussed, two of Russia's BRICS allies have proposed holding an alternative summit. Brazil and China believe that peace talks should include both parties of the "armed conflict."

Earlier, it was reported that China has not yet been able to confirm the participation of its delegation in the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. They assured that they are "ready to maintain" communication with the international community and "have always maintained a fair and objective position" on the "crisis in Ukraine," but did not give a specific answer.
