They are carriers of X-59 missiles and have already hit Ukraine: how many Su-57 aircraft do the invaders have

The aggressor country currently has more than 10 sixth-generation Su-57 aircraft. They are missile carriers that have already attacked Ukraine.

This was reported by Defense Express. According to Russian propagandists, in 2022, the Russian military-industrial complex produced six aircraft of this type.

Information about the actual composition of the Su-57's armament remains inaccurate. The internal weapons bay is likely to contain four to six medium-range air-to-air missiles. Two additional armed compartments are located under the wingtips of the fighter. No images or videos of weapons from these bays have yet been released. The aircraft also has six external ammunition suspension units.

To equip the Su-57, the ammunition that was stored in warehouses located at the Akhtubinsk-Vladimirovka airfield in Astrakhan region was used. Soviet-made X-59 air-to-ground missiles capable of destroying targets at a distance of up to 300 km were stored there. There are no new high-precision strike capabilities for use with the Su-57.

The Su-57 is a fifth-generation Russian fighter developed by the Russian aircraft manufacturer UAC. It is equipped with a new avionics system with an "electronic pilot" function.

Briefly about the declared characteristics of the Su-57:

– fuselage length and wingspan – 19.8 meters and 14 meters respectively;

– maximum takeoff weight and combat payload – 35.5 tons and 4.3 tons, respectively;

– maximum speed and range of the aircraft – up to 2600 km/h and 3500 km, respectively.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the aggressor country used the latest X-69 missiles to strike the Trypillia Thermal Power Plant in the Kyiv region. These missiles are worse than "Kinzhal".

The military emphasized that this is not the first time that X-69s have been used to strike Ukraine. The first mention of their use appeared in February 2024, although there were rare cases as early as 2023. Later, this unofficial information was confirmed by the publication of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise (Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise) on the study of X-69 debris.

The X-69 is a subsonic cruise missile for tactical aircraft that can be used by the enemy from Su-34 and Su-35 and is also intended to be the main cruise missile for the Su-57, which it is to carry in the internal weapons compartments.
