President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needs two Patriot systems to protect Kharkiv. According to him, Russia will not be able to occupy Kharkiv if we have this equipment.

The head of state said this in an interview with ABC News during his visit to a hospital in Kharkiv where wounded Ukrainian soldiers are being treated. According to the publication, the delay in US aid has had a direct impact on the war and the situation along Ukraine's northeastern border.

"The situation is very serious. We can't afford to lose Kharkiv," Zelenskyy emphasized.

According to the president, hundreds of people have been killed or injured over the past few days. Many of them were military personnel from the region, so the President went to Kharkiv to support them.

The President also noted that the world had allowed Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to occupy part of Ukraine's territories, "but now the world can help."

"Dialogue is good. But we need help now," Zelenskyy emphasized. "All we need are two Patriot systems. Russia will not be able to occupy Kharkiv if we have them."

The President of Ukraine also noted that the funds provided by the United States as military aid are not given directly to Ukraine.

"They are spent at American factories, creating jobs in the United States... And we are not just fighting for our freedom. If not for Ukraine, it would be another country," Zelenskyy added.
