The enemy used sophisticated tactics and missile trajectory: Humeniuk describes peculiarities of Russia's new attack on Ukraine

Russian troops have long been preparing for the attack

Russian troops have been preparing for the current missile attack on Ukraine since the previous massive strike. The invaders have resorted to complex tactics of launching from different directions, using different types of weapons and a complex missile trajectory.

This was stated by Natalia Humeniuk, a spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon on the morning of February 15, commenting on the Russian attack with missiles, in particular from Tu-95MS aircraft.

When asked about the change in the aggressor's tactics, as evidenced by the absence of Shaheds during the current launch, she said:

"The scenario is not new, but we are just looking for some clues and trying to psychologically convince ourselves that we are in control of the situation. The enemy can launch missile strikes without adding drones to the mix. This tactic is not new, it is just used by the enemy with a certain sequence of duties to dispel the settings of air defense systems a little bit."

Humeniuk added that the enemy has been preparing for this missile strike for quite some time – in fact, since the last attack.

"Today we saw complex tactics of attacks from different directions and the mixed use of different types of weapons by origin, place of deployment, launch, and complex missile trajectories," the spokeswoman said.

Humeniuk also noted that the enemy often tends to launch missiles "if they are not directly aimed at the coastal regions, but still direct them from the temporarily occupied territories as much as possible."

After all, the occupiers realize that even along the route they are being hunted, air defense systems are operating in different regions.

"That's why they are trying to use the territory of the temporarily occupied Ukraine and bypass our systems as much as possible," explained Humeniuk.
