Russia's plans in Ukraine are failing, but there are still resources for an offensive on several fronts, - Syrskyi
In the eastern direction, the command of the Russian occupation army has failed to achieve the goals it set for its troops over the past few months. Ukrainian defenders bravely restrained the enemy's offensive, inflicting huge losses on the invaders
This was stated by the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, on his Telegram channel. He noted that the Russian army's offensive had failed.
Syrskyi noted that the Russian command had repeatedly set the occupiers tasks and deadlines for capturing Ukrainian settlements and reaching certain borders. However, after the Russian army failed to meet these deadlines, they were postponed.
Thanks to Ukrainian soldiers, all of these enemy objectives were failed.
"The enemy has repeatedly set deadlines for the capture of certain settlements, reaching certain borders, then they were postponed and these tasks were not fulfilled. Lately, thanks to the actions of our defenders, the Russian army's offensive has regularly failed and the enemy has suffered heavy losses," emphasized Syryskyi.
However, the Land Forces Commander noted that the enemy continues to advance in several directions and has the resources to do so.
As OBOZ.UA reported, over the last day alone, our defenders repelled 25 attacks in the Avdiivka sector, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation to no avail. And in the Maryinka sector, the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops 10 times without success.
