Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has approved the training of the Ukrainian military in his country. In addition, the head of state also gave the green light for the transportation of military aid to Ukraine through the country.

This was reported by Digi24. It is noted that Klaus Johannis informed the representatives of the parliament about his decision in a letter.

We are talking about 50 Ukrainian military personnel who will learn to use F-16 aircraft at a military base in Romania.

The head of state also said that he had approved the transit of military equipment donated by Finland to Ukraine.

The training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16s will take place at a training center in the city of Fetesti, in the county of Ialomica. The information from the President was passed on to the defense committees.

The parliament will vote at the next joint plenary session.

The authorities do not say when the exercises will begin, but according to Digi24 sources, the Ukrainian military should arrive at the Feteshti air base this summer. It is expected that the training of F-16 pilots will end at the end of the year.
