Duda talks about discussions in Paris on the idea of sending soldiers to Ukraine and speaks about the collapse of Russia

Duda spoke about discussions in Paris on sending soldiers to Ukraine

During a meeting in the French capital of Paris of presidents, heads of government and ministers from 28 countries, politicians discussed further support for Ukraine and, in particular, the issue of sending troops to Ukraine. A very passionate discussion unfolded around this topic.

Polish President Andrzej Duda provided details to LCI. According to him, the participants of the meeting did not reach any agreement and did not show much enthusiasm for this idea. The summit was held at the initiative of President Emmanuel Macron.

The Polish leader did not answer the question about agreed assistance for Ukraine, such as long-range missiles.

"As for the details, it is up to individual states to decide what kind of assistance they provide to Ukraine," Duda emphasized.

The President of Poland also commented on whether he would like to see the collapse of the terrorist state of Russia.

"From the point of view of Poland and given our history, it would be best if Russia did not exist," Duda said.

As a reminder, at the February 26 summit in Paris, Macron said that Russia could attack NATO countries in a few years. That is why European countries cannot allow Russia to win an aggressive war against Ukraine, as Europe's security is at stake.

In particular, Macron said that France would not block the purchase of shells for Ukraine outside the European Union, as it had done before.

At the same time, the French president emphasized that no EU country is currently planning to send its military contingent to Ukraine, but, according to him, this position may change in the future.

However, he could not specify which countries might consider such a step, citing "strategic ambiguity."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in a special summit in Paris. "Everything we do together to protect ourselves from Russia adds real security to our peoples for decades to come," the Ukrainian leader said in his address to world leaders.
