"We are disappointed": UEFA reacts to media reports on attempts to return Russia, which were blocked by Shevchenko
Russia suspended from UEFA tournaments

The European Football Union (UEFA) has expressed disappointment that the media has reported attempts to return Russian youth and youth teams to international tournaments. The organization did not detail what kind of discussions are underway, citing confidentiality.

UEFA said this in response to a request from propagandists from the Kremlin-controlled TASS news agency. The union called for an end to speculation on this issue and noted that all negotiations are conducted within the organization, and information in the media may be far from true.

As these discussions are confidential, at the request and mutual agreement of all participants, UEFA will honor this agreement and not disclose any details. We can only say that we are disappointed to learn that someone has violated this trust by publishing content that was not only inappropriate but also inaccurate in an attempt to score some political points," the statement reads.
