Kiseleva is outraged by sanctions

Three-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming Maria Kiselyova, in a hysterical patriotic rage, declared the greatness of Russia, the so-called abolition of whose sports and culture is impossible. The former athlete repeated the traditional narratives of Kremlin propaganda about the rich history of the Russian Federation.

The words of Kiselyova, who also became famous as the host of the program "The Weakest Link," are reported by aif.ru. Commenting on the suspension of Russian athletes from international competitions, the Moscow City Duma deputy called sanctions against representatives of the aggressor country illegal.

"It is impossible to abolish Russian culture and it is impossible to abolish Russian sports! And our picture shows that culture and sports are the same. No other country has as many champions as Russia, no other country has such a 25-year history of winning world championships. And this cannot be canceled because someone wanted to. We - our nation, our entire country - draw energy from it, recharge our batteries, and can move on. How can it be canceled? It's impossible," Kiselyova said.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hypocritically accused the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its head Thomas Bach of destroying world sports.
