"A fairy tale for any boxer": Usyk calls out the mistake of the suspended British boxer Joshua
The unified heavyweight champion of the world, Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs), called the actions of Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) in his fight against Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) wrong. Our compatriot criticized the Briton, who defended himself very poorly, which led to his defeat.
Usyk said this in acommentary to British Boxing News. In addition, the Ukrainian heavyweight noted that Joshua looked psychologically unprepared for the fight, in which he failed to win the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Royal Division belt.
"The problem was in the work of the legs. The problem was in the mentality. Everything was a problem. I thought I saw a man's face in Joshua, but inside he was completely different. He didn't look the way we expected. You saw his right arm, it was completely down on his chest. You know, his chin was up, it was like a gift, a fairy tale for any boxer," Usyk said.
It should be noted that the fight between Joshua and Dubois ended in a brutal knockout in the fifth round. Because of this, Anthony was suspended from boxing. At the same time, promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk emphasized that the fight should have ended in disqualification after the first round.
Before the fight , Wembley Stadium gave Usyk a standing ovation. The Ukrainian himself was shocked by the outcome of the fight between the two Britons. By the way, the Gypsy King lost 150 million because of Joshua's defeat.
