Patrol police rescued children who went missing while walking near a river in Zaporizhzhia
Patrol police officers rescued two children who got lost during an evening walk near a river in the Zaporizhzhia region. One of the boys, 13-year-old Maksym, fell into a swamp and was standing in water up to his shoulders, unable to move.
His friend, Serhii, was wandering through the thickets on the other side, frozen and scared. The rescue operation was reported in the Telegram of the National Police of Ukraine.
It is noted that patrol officers inspected the shore at night, loudly called the boys and talked with Maksym on the phone. It was freezing outside, and the child's phone was running out of power. It was clear from his voice that the boy was scared and cold. He said that his legs were already numb.
"Sweetheart, we are close," the police officer supported him.
Law enforcement officers had to get to the child through the reeds. Eventually, they found the child and pulled him out.
Another boy, Serhii, got lost in the thickets and was very happy when the inspectors found him. The child was hospitalized.
As a reminder, a 14-year-old boy was killed by a rifle shot in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The bullet hit him right in the heart. Law enforcement officers have already launched an internal investigation into the death.
The incident happened on November 22 between 15:10 and 15:20. The teacher in whose class the tragedy occurred is now in the hospital. He was conducting classes in the corridor of the institution without observing safety measures and with numerous violations. The children were shooting at targets at a distance of 7 meters.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, a video in which a worried four-year-old boy called the emergency service because he could not solve a math problem went viral on TikTok.
The young student said that he could not solve "five subtracted from five." When the dispatcher tried to help the child figure it out, the boy's mother realized that he was talking on the phone.
