The founder of FC Rukh, a well-known businessman and philanthropist, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, joined the formation of the first 30 mobile fire groups that will defend Lviv region from enemy drones. UAH 3.7 million was raised to form the mobile fire teams and purchase the necessary equipment.
The fully equipped vehicles have already been handed over to the Zakhid Air Command. According to Kozlovsky, due to the intensification of enemy shelling, the purchase of equipment for mobile firing groups is a priority today (to see photos and videos, scroll to the bottom of the page).
Hryhoriy Kozlovsky and FC Rukh responded to the initiative of the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytsky, and the acting head of the Lviv Regional Council, Yuriy Kholod, to create a tactical air defense system, similar to the Iron Dome system in Israel, to protect Lviv and the region from enemy UAVs.
A well-known Lviv philanthropist and businessman, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, said that the occupiers' shelling is intensifying, and a large number of UAVs are attacking Ukraine. They usually target critical infrastructure and energy facilities.
"The aggressor's actions prompt us to act and help the Ukrainian Armed Forces more decisively. Therefore, the creation of mobile fire teams to guard the skies over Lviv region and the purchase of equipment for them is a priority for us today. This is how FC Rukh joined the formation of the first 30 mobile firing groups. The equipment they are equipped with will help our soldiers shoot down kamikaze drones, keep the sky over Ukraine and keep the homes of Ukrainians warm. Today, it is important to help our soldiers, and everyone should be useful to the Armed Forces, and then the victory will be Ukraine's," said Grigory Kozlovsky.
In his turn, Artem Khmyz, head of the People's Self-Defense of Lviv Region civil organization, said that the mobile firing teams have the most modern equipment. Hryhoriy Kozlovsky and other philanthropists have donated more than 30 million hryvnias for this purpose. But the fundraising continues, because we need to continue forming mobile fire teams.
The next 30 groups are planned to be completed and delivered within a month. The cost of equipping one group is about UAH 500 thousand, excluding the cost of transportation. Each group includes a vehicle equipped with thermal imagers, night vision devices, laser pointers, flashlights, sights, tablets and weapons to shoot down attack drones.
The head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytsky, thanked Hryhoriy Kozlovsky and FC Rukh for their active civic position and assistance to the Armed Forces. He stated that the club's founder, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, was one of the first to respond to this initiative and donated UAH 3.7 million to purchase vehicles and equip them with the necessary equipment.
According to Igor Dedyshyn, CEO of FC Rukh, this is a very important initiative that has managed to combine the efforts of local businesses, the community and government officials to help secure the region from potential enemy attacks. He emphasized that the team is honored to help the military and communities of Lviv region.
"This once again demonstrates that we are united with the army and local residents. The club regularly helps the military, and we will not stop doing so. We have other projects ahead of us that Rukh will definitely support," said Dedyshyn.
Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, in turn, noted that the football community and FC Rukh have always supported the Ukrainian military and will continue to do so until the Victory Day. The philanthropist said that today everyone should be helpful to our military, because only in unity can we defeat the enemy.
Earlier it was reported that the founder of FC Rukh, a well-known businessman and philanthropist, Hryhoriy Kozlovsky, is actively involved in the rehabilitation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Within the framework of the Above All project, Kozlovsky, in cooperation with Oleksandr Shovkovsky and the Ukrainian Sports Clinic, helps wounded and injured Ukrainians recover.
