Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says that the situation on the border with Poland is both simple and complicated. However, if necessary, Ukraine will act tough.

Kuleba said this in an interview with the Voice of America. The foreign minister noted that the situation is complicated by the fact that Ukraine is being blamed for the problems of European farmers, while the West still receives Russian grain.

"For some reason, other countries do not talk about Russian grain entering the European market. For some reason, no one is fighting it. For some reason, no one is fighting against grain from outside Europe, which is entering the European market in huge volumes. Thus, they started to blame Ukraine for everything. And this belief exists at the level of these protesters," the minister added.

According to Kuleba, the first thing the governments of these countries need to do is to start "talking honestly with their farmers" as the problem is actually much broader. It is not necessary to blame everything on Ukraine, he added.

The minister assures that Ukraine will not tolerate such an attitude, and "will act tough where necessary without offending someone because we have shown some force."

As for the simple component of this situation, Kuleba said, Ukraine and Poland are intensively negotiating and making efforts to resolve this problem.

Kuleba noted that there may be additional attempts at provocations and that Russian agents will support this situation. Therefore, it is important to remain calm and make quick decisions that will help reduce tension.
