What holidays do Ukrainians celebrate in November and how many days off are there: a calendar

November, which is approaching soon, is not too rich in holidays. During peacetime, there are no national holidays with an extra day off in this month. However, during this period, there are many dates dedicated to various professions, including international ones.

OBOZ.UA has compiled a calendar of holidays for November 2023. Find out which dates are celebrated in November.

How many days off in November

In the last month of autumn, only calendar Saturdays and Sundays will be days off: 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26. The remaining 22 days will be working days. There are no holidays that would give an additional day off in November. Additionally, martial law is in effect in Ukraine, which means that state-owned enterprises are not allowed to postpone their working days.

What professional holidays are celebrated in November

Nevertheless, there are many professional holidays next month. Here is a calendar of the main ones:

  • November 3 - Day of Engineer Troops and the Day of Missile Troops and Artillery;
  • November 4 - Railroader's Day;
  • November 9 - All-Ukrainian Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art;
  • November 10 - International Accounting Day, International Day of Embroiderers;
  • November 16 - Day of Radio, Television and Communications Workers;
  • November 17 - International Students' Day;
  • November 18 - Day of Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • November 19 - Day of Hydrometeorological Service Workers, Glassmaker's Day;
  • November 21 - Day of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • November 28 - Day of the Financial Monitoring System Worker;
  • November 30 - Day of Radio Technical Troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Other holidays in November

November also marks many memorable and historical dates. The main dates are as follows:

  • November 6 - Day of the liberation of Kyiv from Nazi occupation during World War II;
  • November 9 - International Day against Fascism, Racism, and Anti-Semitism;
  • November 11 - Remembrance Day of those killed in the First World War;
  • November 19 - International Men's Day;
  • November 20 - World Children's Day;
  • November 21 - Day of Dignity and Freedom;
  • November 25 - Holodomor Remembrance Day;
  • November 30 - World Pet Day.
