Undefeated Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) couldn't hold back his emotions while talking about his father. In an interview with boxing commentator Steve Bunce from the British TV channel TNT, our titled boxer began to cry when discussing Oleksandr Usyk Sr.

The holder of the WBO, IBF, IBO, and WBA heavyweight titles admitted that he still feels the presence of his father, and sometimes, his father appears in his dreams the day before a fight.

After sharing these words, Usyk had to pause the interview to compose himself.

"Don't cry, you're a man. Yes, sometimes he comes to me the day before the fight and smiles," Usyk said while wiping away his tears.

Our super heavyweight also spoke about the moment of his father's passing.

"He saw that I had become an Olympic champion, but I didn't have the chance to bring the gold medal to show him. When I arrived, he was already in a wooden box. I took it out of my bag and placed it in his hand. I held his lifeless hand and left the room. We were returning from London, and it was three days later when I was about to visit him. We were in one of the cities in Ukraine, waiting for a car. I wanted to bring a nice car so he could see what kind of car I had. But my mom called me at 3 a.m. and said..." Oleksandr said while showing a photo of his father on his smartphone.
