Top 5 European countries with the cleanest seas are named

According to European Environment Agency, the island nation of Cyprus has retained its status as a favorable place for swimming. They noted that the water quality was recognized as "excellent" and received the highest score - "100%".

The top 5 countries with the cleanest swimming water:

• Austria - 97.7%.

• Greece - 97.1%

• Malta - 96.6%

• Croatia - 95.1%.

The top ten countries include Germany (89.9%), Italy (88.6%), Spain (88.5%), Belgium (79.7%) and France (77.5%). According to the agency, the minimum water quality requirements are met in 93% of European coastal zones.
