The Toyota Camry has fewer and fewer rivals. So they decided to discontinue the Mazda 6. The inexpensive car will not have a next-generation due to the popularity of crossovers.

The details became known to Carscoops. It was expected that the Mazda sedan would be built on a new rear-wheel drive platform with a powerful 6-cylinder longitudinal engine. Now it has become known that the company has no such plans.

Mazda management noted that they would be happy to develop such a model if there is demand for it. In today's market, sales of midsize sedans are declining due to the popularity of crossovers.

However, the Mazda 6 has already received a successor of sorts. The new Mazda EZ-6 2024 is coming to the market. The large car is made in the modern style of the Japanese company with a large panel instead of a grille and long headlights.

The range of the electric modification (255 hp) is 480 and 600 km, depending on the battery (this option will cost approximately $22,000). The Mazda EZ-6 hybrid has a total range of 1300 km. The price of this option starts from $ 19,600.
