If you've ever cleaned your windows yourself, you know that this is a whole branch of cleaning science. It's not just a matter of spraying the product on the glass and wiping it off – you need to do it in such a way that there are no streaks, the window is shiny, and dirt doesn't stick to it for a long time.
Cleaning experts say that this is not so difficult to achieve – just follow three rules. OBOZ.UA tells you about these rules.
Use dishwashing liquid
Just as dishwashing liquid restores shine to plates and cups, it can do the same with window glass. To avoid streaks after use, use a small amount of detergent – it shouldn't produce much foam. Add 5-10 drops to a liter spray bottle, depending on how concentrated the dishwashing liquid is. Mix the soap and water, spray the mixture on the glass, wipe it off with a rubber scraper, and wipe the window with a microfiber cloth.
Wipe the windows with newspaper
Newspaper (or even better, paper towels or napkins) are good for removing stains from glass. The material absorbs moisture well and can therefore be used as a substitute for microfiber if you don't have a microfiber cloth at hand. The main condition is not to put too much pressure on the window, otherwise the paper may leave microscratches.
Do not wash windows during the lightest hours of the day
Window cleaning defects are best seen when the sun hits the glass at an acute angle. Such conditions naturally occur in the morning or evening, when the sun is not too high above the horizon. In addition, at the height of the day, warm rays can dry the liquid you use to wash the windows too quickly – you will not have time to wipe it off in time and the glass will remain dried soap suds.
