There are no restrictions and rules in makeup – it is primarily a matter of self-expression. However, with the help of effective life hacks, you can improve your natural skin tone and hide tired eyes.
Dark circles or bags under the eyes visually add age. The makeup artists told us how to mask these small imperfections and look flawless.
Preparatory stage
Dark circles are sometimes difficult to cover with concealer. This product will not be enough – areas of a pale purple hue will probably be visible even after application. A double thick layer of concealer is also not an option, as you risk emphasizing wrinkles and creating an unnatural effect.
Purple tones are counteracted by apricot-orange shades. Applying an apricot concealer to dark circles and adding a little concealer is one of the most effective life hacks.
A quality concealer
After applying concealer, it's not enough to just cover it with concealer. This product should be used on the darkest part of the under-eye circles (it usually stretches a quarter of a circle from the inner corner down). Makeup artists advise gently blending the concealer with your ring finger. Do not apply concealer and concealer too close to the lower lash line.
Light liner
Dark eyeliners and shadows can make tired eyes look heavier and visually smaller, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't draw arrows at all. On set, makeup artists often use a simple life hack to expand and awaken the area around the eyes by applying a beige liner to the lower waterline. This creates the illusion of a wider and brighter look.
Accentuate the eyebrows
Simply brushing the eyebrows helps to lift the eye area, taking the focus away from areas of severe puffiness. Using a clean brush, comb the eyebrows up and across and set them with a tinted gel.
Highlighter
Another tip is to apply a small amount of highlighter to the inner corner of the eye and the outer edge of the brow bone, right under the brow itself. The reflective properties of the highlighter will create the illusion of brightness, opening the eyes to neutralize any hint of fatigue. The key to this technique is to take a "less is more" approach. You only need a little bit of natural glow product. You can choose shimmering cream-based powder eyeshadow.
